Aston Scientific is a distributor of high quality scientific computing solutions for scientists, engineers and other technical users. The company aims to offer a highly professional service and a fast response in everything that it does.

Key to this goal has been our commitment to hiring only the best staff possible and training them to the highest level, both in product knowledge but also to uphold our stringent quality standards.

In order to ensure that these goals are achieved a quality management system that satisfies the requirements of ISO9002:1994 has been implemented for marketing, storage, and distribution throughout the company. We are proud to say that in July 2000 we were awarded ISO 9002 accreditation and in January 2004 this was reissued to the later standard ISO 9001:2000

First trading in 1987, the companies first products were for the chromatography market and consisted of analysis software and generic gradient control hardware systems. Shortly after the company launched highly successful Techni-Plot and Techni-Curve software for plotting and curve fitting.

1991 saw the appointment of Aston Scientific as exclusive distributor for Scientific Software Inc's EZChrom chromatography data handling software, we are proud to say that this position has continued to this day. To date we have sold well over 600 data systems in the UK, some of these being large client-server data systems. These include the world's first EZChrom Elite client/server installation which we sold to a major Pharmaceutical company, and is still in very successful use today.

In 1992 Aston sold their first copy of Origin software. A few years later, after a period of rapid expansion in the number of UK users, we were appointed exclusive UK and Ireland Distributor for Origin. Origin sales in the UK have gone from strength to strength and there are now many thousands of users in the UK. These include Origin site licenses at Leeds, Heriot-Watt and Cambridge Universities.

2005 will see our 13th anniversary as UK & Ireland Origin distributor and 14th anniversary as EZChrom distributor. Business relationships that last this long are your assurance that Aston Scientific are a reliable and conscientious company to deal with.

Other products we have sold include the remarkably cost effective yet totally reliable Lawson Labs range of data acquisition peripherals, Spartan molecular modelling software, Multisimplex modelling software, XLStat statistics software, ChemBrain a chemical database with artificial intelligence and PiSystems spectral calculation software.
